Niacinamide (Vit B3)

Nicotinamide

Overview

Multi-tasking vitamin B3 that addresses multiple skin concerns.

Detailed Information

Niacinamide, also known as Nicotinamide, is the biologically active amide form of Vitamin B3. It is a water-soluble vitamin widely used in dermatological and medical-grade skincare because of its excellent tolerability and broad range of skin benefits. Niacinamide is a particularly versatile active because it can support the skin barrier, hydration, pigmentation, inflammation, sebum regulation and visible signs of ageing within the same formulation. Unlike exfoliating acids or retinoids, Niacinamide does not work primarily by accelerating exfoliation. Instead, it supports important cellular and barrier processes, making it suitable for a broad range of skin types, including dry, oily, acne-prone, sensitive, ageing and pigmentation-prone skin. Niacinamide → supports the skin's own barrier processes / Ceramides + Cholesterol + Fatty Acids → provide lipid replenishment
